Freelance Writer for hire

Greetings and welcome to my web site. I’m a freelance writer in the San Francisco Bay Area covering a wide range of subjects, from science and technology to baseball and personality profiles. I wrote two baseball books, “Giants Past and Present,” which was published in March 2010 by MVP Books and updated twice after the San Francisco Giants won the World Series in 2010 and 2012, and “Giants Baseball Experience,” published in 2014, also by MVP Books.

I am a regular contributor to Giants and A’s magazines, and to several university web sites and alumni magazines, including UCSF, California State University-East Bay, and Dominican University of California. I have worked as a freelance writer  for the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Forbes.com, Fortune.com and USA Today, among others. I was a staff writer at the San Francisco Chronicle for nine years, covering Silicon Valley, and I was a regular contributor to San Francisco magazine.

On the corporate side, I have written two privately published books commemorating California Casualty’s 100 years in business and the 40th anniversary of Community Economics, a nonprofit dedicated to affordable housing. Other corporate clients include Pandora, GE Software, eBay and Gigster.

I welcome feedback, advice, and writing assignments. And Giants tickets!
